LANDSCAPES
Landscape murals open up an entire room, creating the feeling of greater space. The room will breath.
Landscapes would consist of a foreground, middle ground and background. By having each of the above it will create the greatest amount of depth, which gives the illusion of real space. Another way to bring dimension onto a wall and depth to a room would be to create an indoor and outdoor space. This could be done by creating what looks to be a window, a niche, a balcony. By embellishing the foreground with objects, to the clients liking, the space will take on a pleasant personalized feeling and the landscape which is now being framed by the foreground becomes an illusion of space the viewer could step into and become a part of.
The mural could depict a place you have been or only dreamed of going. When the idea has been discussed, sketches would be made and again discussed to form a solid idea.
The mural should be painted on a light surface in order to obtain the richness of the colors being applied. Therefore, if the wall is a dark shade or in need of repair it would be patched and painted first with primer.
The color pallet would be the colors already existing within the room, unless discussed otherwise, so as not to create conflict, but to open up the room comfortably.
When the mural has been completed, a clear coat would be applied. If it is in a child's room or a high traffic area, a second coat would be put on.
